Finally I got the experience of some Finnish weekly traditions including going to Sauna thanks to Jassir from 6th grade! Their dog was a lot of fun too. The Finns seem to now how to relax.

Visiting Vantaa City Museum in April
I learned a lot about history of Vantaa city on a museum visit with 6th graders. I loved that the museum docent let me try on a squirrel's fur that they used "like money" in the old days-for once I was warm. The name of the exhibition was "Our Story from Helsinge to Vantaa". "Helsinge" refers to our capital Helsinki nowadays and I learned that the city's history actually originates from my recent hometown Vantaa that is located just next to Helsinki

Helping set up the Senior IB Art Exhibition in late MarchHi Finland! The senior students and I are recovering from all our hard work setting up their big show at the End of March! It was a huge success!!!! There were 27 students exhibiting their work, they kept me busy hammering in nails, straightening picture frames, climbing ladders and working late into the night! Fun times!!!!

Kali´s winter memories
Hey, there is a wonderfull winter weather ( -10 and sunshine) out there and all the children are watching TV in a dark room. Kali-chicken likes to watch animations too!
Best friends: 5-year-old Hilda and "exchange student". What does Hilda have on her head?
Winter activities: going down to the hill with a sled. How about skiing and skating, Kali?
Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day... A strange singer.
After a very active week it´s time to go back to Helsinki and travel again 500 km with train. Kali got many experiences about living in a countyside in the eastern part of Finland. Living there differs quite a lot from citylife. Grandma welcomes Kali and his friends again anytime they need a little break! Hei hei ja toivottavasti tapaamme vielä!
