Even though the weather hasn't been very nice the last couple of weeks, I went down to the beach to play in the sand and watch the waves. The water was too cold to go swimming, so I counted seagulls instead.

Last week I went to visit one of the oldest churches on the coastside in Half Moon Bay. It was built in 1871! It has 12 stained glass windows and an old bell tower that is rung to announce the 10 o'clock service every Sunday.

California Exhibition

We got wonderful texture art works from Sequoia High School and set up an exhibition to our school hallway. Meanwhile we've been having discussions about visual language. What is possible to tell and understand about other culture without words? What kind of stories do different kind of materials tell?
