Tonight was such a special night! I got to hang out with the cheerlreaders all day and even watch my very first Sequoia football game! The experience was great. Seeing all those people yelling and cheering and supporting their team was amazing! I even lost my voice yelling with the cheerleaders! It was a blast. Hopefully I get to cheer with the cheer team and motivate the football players again! Overall, it was a wonderful night :) Go Sequoia!

Osku tries figure drawing!
I am having a lot of fun learning about life in California as well as learning about how to create art. Sometimes these students are asked to try some crazy things! Today, for example, the students were learning about figure drawing. I was watching them from my perch in my home (my little box that traveled with me from Finland) in the classroom, and I saw that they had to put their paper on the ground and then draw with India ink and long sticks!!!! CRAZY! I think they heard me giggling from my box, because next thing I knew two of my new friends grabbed me to join in the fun! I really liked drawing with the long sticks and they even had me model for them once (can you see me in the arms of my other new friend?) Talk about fun!
